- Title
Where does the carbon go? Thermal acclimation of respiration and increased photosynthesis in trees at the temperate-boreal ecotone.
- Authors
Griffin, Kevin L.; Prager, Case M.
- Abstract
The article presents author's views on the thermal acclimation of respiration and increased photosynthesis in trees at the temperate-boreal ecotone for balancing carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. Topics include modeling the temperature response of plant respiration using an Arrhenius type equation, respiratory CO2 release for increasing ambient temperatures, and meta-analysis of several plant species.
