U.S. Ocean Policy Report Card.
- Authors
Tibbetts, John
- Abstract
The article reflects on the result of the U. S. Ocean Policy Report Card which was released by the Joint Ocean Commission Initiative on February 2006. The report revealed that the United states has not accomplished much in its response to health crisis in the nation's oceans, coasts, and Great Lakes. Initiative member Andrew Rosenberg, a fisheries scientist at the University of New Hampshire, said policy makers have done too little to fix the confusing system of authority over coastal and marine ecosystems. The 10-member initiative was created to track government response to two-landmark ocean commissions.
