- Abstract
The article explores the outcomes for changes brought on by Great Britain's Coalition government in 2010 at a time when the economy was in a liquidity trap. Topics discussed include an outline of the key innovations and changes introduced by the Coalition such as the establishment of an independent body to undertake fiscal forecasts, the structure of the primary fiscal mandate and greater fiscal austerity and the impact of these changes on macroeconomic outcomes.
