- Title
Of Rights and Favors.
- Authors
Nelken, David
- Abstract
The author provides a response to a speech which was reportedly delivered by the Law and Society Association's (LSA's) President Michael McCann and addresses the ways in which legal rights work within a society as of 2014. The author argues that the continual exposure of "corruption" by the courts and media has not transformed behavior. The lightness (fragility) of some rights are assessed, along with individual freedom, favors, and American ethnocentrism. Italian rights are also examined.
