Failure Analysis of Sealing-off and Fracture of Drive Shaft of Mining Vehicle.
- Abstract
In view of the sealing-off and fracture fault of the drive shaft of a mining vehicle in the transport process, the cause for the fault is analyzed from the aspects of design and selection of the drive shaft, arrangement and check of the drive shaft angle, bench test, weld cut analysis and welding strength simulation. The analysis results show that the main cause for sealing-off and fracture is poor welding quality, resulting in insufficient weld penetration depth, so that the welding strength cannot bear the operating torque of the drive shaft.
