- Authors
Shields, Steven L.
- Abstract
The article examines the missiology of Community of Christ as the church engaged in ministry in India and Korea and considers issues of relevance, pluralism, and indigenization. Aaronic priest William Whenham, who was stationed with the U.S. Army in Pusan, Korea, is said to have shared his religious experiences with several Korean high school-aged students in the early I950s. It is mentioned that the first baptisms in India were in 1958 performed by W. E. Connell, a high priest from Colorado. Charles D. Neff, a member of the Council of Twelve Apostles, was said to be responsible for organizing the church in Korea and India.
