- Abstract
The aim of the research is to understand this relationship by examining the effect of job alienation on career satisfaction. The concepts of work alienation and career satisfaction are important in terms of attitudes and behaviors of employees in the workplace. While work alienation reduces the commitment and motivation of the employees at the workplace, career satisfaction increases the commitment and motivation of the employees. Therefore, understanding the relationship between these two concepts can help to better understand the factors that affect the attitudes and behaviors of employees in the workplace. The limitations of this study are the collection of data from a single sector. However, the study can be expanded and applied to other sector workers. Data were collected from a total of 942 real estate sector employees using the questionnaire method and analyzed with the structural equation model using the SPSS program. In the study, a negative correlation was found between work alienation and career satisfaction. That is, as job alienation increases, career satisfaction decreases. It has also been found that work alienation has a significant effect on career satisfaction. This study provides evidence showing the negative impact of work alienation on career satisfaction. In order to increase the career satisfaction of the employees in the workplace, the factors of work alienation should be reduced. For this, policies and practices should be developed to increase the motivation and commitment of employees in the workplace.
