- Abstract
For some decades the fundamental categories of Judeo-Christian tradition have been systematically undertaken within the philosophical perspective of authors who, even if declaredly distancing from this tradition itself, intentionally shrink from classic dichotomy between theism and atheism, philosophy of immanence and transcendence, religion and secularization. The focus of this article places itself inside Giorgio Agamben’s thought and his philosophical rereading of Saint Paul’s Letters, that radicalizes and enlarges their Messianic perspective. The critical analysis of the character of homo sacer and of the categories of rest, idleness and vocation, in the centre of Agamben’s philosophy, wants to draw attention to its possible anthropological and Christological repercussions, in view of further theological problem making.
