- Abstract
The article presents U.S. legal developments pertaining to commercial legislation. The Sedima, S. P. R. L. v. Imrex Co., Inc., et al. case is cited. The U.S. Supreme Court said that marketers will not be protected from private lawsuits with treble damages under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). The Town of Hallie, et al. v. City of Eau Claire case is cited. The case focused on the legality of state policy immunity to antitrust legislation. The Southern Motor Carrier Rate Conference, Inc., et al. v. United States case is cited. The R. Anthony Marrese and Michael R. Treister v. American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons case is also discussed.
