REGULATION OF UNFAIR COMPETITION.
- Authors
Werner, Ray O.; Cohen, Dorothy
- Abstract
The article presents legal developments in marketing with particular focus on the regulation of unfair competition. One of the developments describes the Supreme Court case of the American Medical Association, et al. v. Federal Trade Commission, in which the Court affirmed an order by the Commission requiring the American Medical Association to permit doctors to advertise, compete for business, and enter into contractual relationships. Another development describes the case of the United States v. National Association of Broadcasters. In this case the court found that some of the advertising standards of the National Broadcasters Association violated antitrust laws per se.
