- Abstract
An interview with Shirley Nash Weber, professor and chairman of the Africana Studies Department of San Diego State University (SDSU) in California, is presented. When asked regarding her childhood and family upbringing, Weber mentions that her family was from Hope, Arkansas. She states that her father came in San Francisco in 1951 were she was raised in Pueblo. He discusses the organizational strengths of the National Council for Black Studies .
