- Abstract
The article discusses the 1910 Salvage Convention which combines all rule regarding assistance and salvage at sea. Topics discussed include legal duty of the ship master to help everybody lost at sea without causing any danger to passengers and crew members, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982 as an example of an international law policy to rescue seafarer and the 1912 Titanic ship disaster in which over 1500 people died.
