- Abstract
The research aimed mainly at identifying the most important economic factors affecting the tasks of marine farm managers in Damietta Governorate, Egypt, estimating the structure of productivity costs in marine fish farming according to farm capacities, estimating technical and economic efficiency indicators for marine fish farming according to farm capacities, and identifying the personal and social characteristics of the respondents, and the specific factors the farm and the factors related to seed, and to identify at the general level the importance and performance of tasks and the importance and performance of tasks (each task separately) tasks related to managers of marine fish farms in Damietta Governorate, and determining the difference between the general average for the degree of importance and performance of the studied tasks, and defining the differences between the mean averages for the degree of importance and performance of the tasks (each separately) tasks identifying the most important problems facing marine fish farm managers, and Sheikh Dergham, Al-Sahel and Al-Rattama, because these areas are concentrated in marine fish farms, and 90 farms were chosen, representing 10% of the total fish farms in the regions. The farms were divided into three productive capacities: small production capacities of an area (less than 14 faddan), and average production capacities of an area (from 14 to 27 faddan), and finally large production capacities of an area (greater than 27 faddan). The questionnaire was used in a personal interview to collect field data during the period from August to September of 2019, and the quantitative and descriptive method was used, and the calculation and estimation of technical and economic efficiency indicators for marine fish farming was used. Frequencies, percentages and mean, and the most important results can be summarized as follows: The average total investment costs in large-capacity farms amounted to about 8975 pound, and in small-capacity farms 4289 pound, and the least of them were in medium-capacity farms Where it reached about 3382 pound, and it was also found by comparison between the three different capacities, the quantities of farm production in order were small, then medium, and finally large capacity as follows, in order, 6870.61 kg, 17719 kg, 18111 kg. While the revenues were as follows: 426.733, 888.477, 1068 thousand pounds in succession, and from this comparison it became clear that the net profit of the farm reached its maximum for large farms to about 561.540 thousand pounds, while in medium-sized farms it reached 407.09 thousand pounds, and the lowest of them was on farms with The small capacity amounted to about 231.41 thousand pounds, and the results of the study indicate that the average farm capacity exceeded the productivity of a square meter basin, as it reached 0.316 kilograms per square meter. The square meter basin reached 7.57 pounds, and 7.27 pounds per Small and medium capacity respectively. while revenue was as follows : 426,656, 888542, 10,06868 thousand pounds, and from this comparison it became clear that the net profit of the farm reached its maximum for large farms to about 561,523 thousand pounds, while it reached in medium-capacity farms 407,16 thousand pounds, and the least of them were on small farms of about 224,349 pounds A thousand pounds.
