Information about several papers discussed at a symposium held from May 6-8, 2010 sponsored by the Latina and Latino Critical Legal Theory Inc. on the influence of politics in global food system is presented. Topics include the impact of subsidies, free trade agreements and expansion of agribusiness in the food system of the U.S. and Mexico. The genetic modification of food crops is also considered.
