- Abstract
The article discusses the letters of missionary Edward Stevenson to the Mormon magazine "Juvenile Instructor" chronicling his Mormon missionary experience as a young elder in the Rock of Gibraltar in 1853-1855. It looks at the historical significance of Stevenson's mission in the region, where he and elder N. T. Porter were the only Latter-day Saints to proselyte and establish the church on the Rock during the first 140 years of its history.
