- Abstract
Economic growth depends more and more on the potential of the society and economy to build and use knowledge. Fast and effectively learning people are needed. Two main problems were identified with the optimal usage of human capital as far as education is concerned: students who devote minimum effort and time to learning and acquiring qualifications, and students who learn compulsively, driven by dysfunctional perfectionism. This study tests relationship between financial resources and home environment and students' learning related attitudes, beliefs and behaviors. Results demonstrate that having more financial resources and better home environment is related to positive learning-related attitudes, beliefs and behaviors
