Bovine leprospirosis is a highly infectious bacterial disease and is widespread in Ireland with over 70% of dairy herds1 in Ireland infected and appdoximately 80% if Iris beef herds2 infected. If leptospirosis gets into a herd it can have serious effects on productivity and profitability.
