- Authors
Greenberg, Robert; Hristova, Maria
- Abstract
The article focuses on the confusion over how to define the linguistic situation after the fall of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, which is further complicated by the fate of smaller Yugoslav people and minority populations that used the Serbo-Croatian/Croto-Serbian language. Topics discussed include the challenges presented by the language situations on formulating language policies in the Yugoslav successor and language policies in modern day Serbia and Croatia.
