- Abstract
A 70-year-old man was admitted with a 20-year history of multiple cutaneous vascular malformations that had progressively appeared over the face and the trunk (Fig.). Full-body computed tomography (CT) scan showed three cerebral nodules, measuring 7, 4 and 3 mm, respectively, in the frontal lobe, several hepatic lesions in liver segments IV, V and VII, and a para-aortic malformation measuring 25 mm in size. The diagnosis of FCC should be considered in patients with multiple vascular malformations, neurological and/or ophthalmological symptoms, and a positive family history of cerebral cavernomas.
