- Title
GATES CLOSING OFF HURRICANES?
- Abstract
The article reports that Microsoft founder Bill Gates and a team of scientists are looking forward to patent a system that would decrease the intensity of hurricanes. The system would involve placing a series of barges in front of a nearing storm which would use conduits to transfer warm surface water to the depth of the ocean and cooler water up to the surface, thus abating the hurricanes. However according to professor William Gray, the storms come very rapidly giving less time for warning.
