The article discusses the concept of race in public health. Topics include the use of racial measures in public health, genetics and medicine to characterize human population differences, the struggle of the Global Society on Migration, Ethnicity, Race and Health with the use of race in the title of their group, and criticism on the use of race as a population descriptor from across academic disciplines.
