- Abstract
A case study is presented which examines the treatment of a 29-year-old female patient who was diagnosed with a pheochromocytoma type of neuroendocrine tumor, and it mentions how a patient's metanephrine metabolites can be used to evaluate chronic paroxysmal palpitations and skin flushing in an individual. Tests involving fractioned plasma and urinary metanephrines are examined, along with patient outcome assessments and initial medical screening tests.
