- Abstract
The article focuses on the scandalous portraits of Victorine Meurent, a French painter and famous model of Edouard Manet in Paris, France. It relates the author's experience as a writer and using a model or image in starting her point in an opening sentence or idea. She used the painting "Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe," by Edouard Manet, which portrayed Victorine Meurent naked resulting to various interpretations and intrigues. Therefore, the author aims to write a novel to give Meurent a voice and would relate the true character of the model artist.
