This article presents a criticism of the anonymously written poem "Apu Inca Atawallpaman," which relates to the death of Atahualpa, the leader of the indigenous Mexican people known as the Quecha, by Spanish conquistadors in 1533. The author analyzes the content of and metaphors used in the poem, which describe the impact of Atahualpa's death on the Quechua people.
