The article reports that Staphylococcus are widespread bacteria that cause superficial and invasive infections in several species. Topics include examines the species Staphylococcus delphini is a Gram-positive bacterium belongs to the Staphylococcus intermedius group, being a mucosa colonizer and an opportunistic pathogen in some animals, including delphinids.
