- Abstract
This article discusses a study on the impact of speech training in a special services course on student evaluation confidence. The study reveals that male students in the special service course did not increase in evaluation confidence for any speech traits. While female students in special service course increased in evaluation confidence on two traits, namely fluency and material. It concludes that speech training in a basic public speaking course affects students differently in a regular course and in a special services course.
