- Abstract
In recent years, technologies around the world are growing at exponential speed in many fields like manufacturing, automobiles, computers, electronics, etc. The field of agriculture is not an exception. This study mainly deals with analysis of problems involved in an agricultural machine called disc ploughing machine also known as land tiller. The existing disc plough having two sets of 6 blades could not be pulled by 35 horsepower tractors which is mostly available with all farmers in India. Hence the main objective of this analysis was to change the design of land tilling machine by reducing its weight so that it is desirable for land tilling purpose for all types of soil present in India with available tractor capacity of 35 horsepower. The concept of reverse engineering is used in this study to get the data from existing disc plough machine. After redesigning, stress in various parts of the machine is also calculated using Analysis software.
