- Abstract
The article presents an account of Mimbres pottery held in the collection of the Museum of Western State College as of 1938. They were on loan to the college from the private collections of Roger B. Springer and Harry W. Endner. Eleven bowls are described, and categorized in terms of their designs, which incorporate both naturalistic and geometric elements. A picture of the bowls discussed is included, and accounts of the designs on each one are presented, along with notes on their condition. Several animals are depicted on the bowls, including an antelope, a turkey and a parrot.
