- Abstract
The article discusses the exhibition titled "Rastafari" at the National Museum Jamaica in Kingston, Jamaica, which opened on July 21, 2013, developed in collaboration with the Ethio-Africa Diaspora Union Millennium Council (or Rastafari Millennium Council) and its relationship with the Rastafarian movement. The relationship between the Smithson Instititution of Washington, D.C.'s (District of Columbia's) assistance with the exhibition and Rastafarian autonomy, including in regard to the Rastafarian leader Leonard P. Howell's perspective on autonomy, is discussed.
