- Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between the Rastafarian movement and Jamaican reggae music and songs, including the songs "Reggae Physician," by Burning Spear (or Winston Rodney), "The Rod," by Garnett Silk and "No White God," by Sizzla. Topics of reggae songs, including violence, sexuality, teenage development, youth culture and the African black diaspora's relationship with Africa, are discussed.
