- Abstract
The article discusses the mathematical and physical modeling concepts for boiling systems' local heat transfer. It describes the development of mechanisticmultidimensional models that would be used to evaluate the critical heat flux (CHF) and boiling heat transfer coefficient. Furthermore, it highlights the extensive efforts for the creation of methods and tools that would be applicable for the analysis of operation and safety of conventional thermal power systems and nuclear reactors.
