- Abstract
The article focuses on the systematic approach to training code users in performing calculations by using best estimate codes. It notes that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has developed a document which contains the revised Nuclear Safety Standards Series to provide guidance on accident analysis of nuclear power plants. Moreover, a user-training-course such as 3D scaling, uncertainty, and 3D coupled code calculations (3D S.UN.COP) is introduced to focus on the development and application of best estimate codes. It also emphasizes that the role of code user is relevant because it contributes to the overall uncertainty that characterizes system code calculation report.
