- Abstract
A De Novo Gastric Cancer 1 Year After Sleeve Gastrectomy - Is Bariatric Surgery a Risk Factor for Gastroesophageal Cancer Development? The value of upper GI endoscopy to detect gastric or esophageal carcinoma in patients undergoing a bariatric surgical procedure is unclear. At the SG time, the patient's body mass index (BMI) was 45 kg/m2 (weight, 130 kg), and the preoperative upper gastrointestinal endoscopy just showed a duodenal ulcer that was treated before the surgery.
