- Abstract
The article analyzes the international landscape of Fair, Reasonable, and Non-Discriminatory (FRAND) licensing practices for standard essential patents (SEPs) across international borders with substantial technological markets. It mentions that standard setting organizations (SSOs), SEPs and the issues of patent hold-up, license hold-out, and royalty pricing. It also discusses the new FRAND policy of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
