- Authors
Salmon, Sara
- Abstract
The article focuses on the importance of teaching empathy skills to youth in order to prevent aggression and to teach interpersonal and work skills. The Center for Safe Schools and Communities has developed supplementary Aggression Replacement Training (ART) materials, that is, the peace curriculum which emphasizes empathy training with students. It has been noticed that only aggressive youth need the skills most students and adults need them. One of the to convince students that ART is important and empathy is critical is to show them how in many current corporations and business fields students are receiving training in the skills.
