- Abstract
The article discusses research which examines role of fatty acid (FA) translocase/cluster of differentiation 36 (CD36) and G- protein coupled receptor(GPR120) for efficient fatty acid utilization during endurance exercise. Topics discussed include impact of CD36 or GPR120 deletion on energy metabolism during exercises, facilitation of cellular transport and oxidation of FA during endurance exercise by CD36 and decline in exogenous FA oxidation during exercise by deletion of CD36.
