- Abstract
This article discusses the difficulties that the state of Florida encountered with its voting systems during the 2012 U.S. presidential election. Topics include Florida Governor Rick Scott's decision to shorten Florida's early voting period to eight days, the impact of additional state constitutional amendment questions on the length of time it took to cast a vote, and the technical difficulties that Florida experienced with its ballot scanners.
