- Authors
Kelsey, Ronald R.; Fowlkes, Nelson J.; Shigyo, Elizabeth
- Abstract
The article states that corporate health risk management can reduce employers' health care spending and presents a case study to explain the concept and the four step process for implementing a health-risk management program. Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, California--which adopted and markets this strategy--implemented the program in a manufacturing company. Identifying employees' health risks and determining the employer's financial risk are discussed, as well as developing a risk-reduction strategy that includes interventions and health-promotion campaigns that lead to quantifiable net savings.
