- Abstract
The 58th Annual Meeting of the Ichthyological Society of Japan (ISJ) will take place from September 6 to 9, 2024, at the Fukuoka Institute of Technology in Japan. The meeting will include two symposiums on river ecology and conservation of the Japanese eel, as well as the critically endangered Ryukyu-ayu Plecoglossus altivelis ryukyuensis. The event will be held in a hybrid format, and more information can be found on the ISJ official website. Additionally, the latest volume of the Japanese Journal of Ichthyology has been published, featuring various research papers. Finally, the announcement includes an obituary for Dr. Tetsuo Kuwamura, a former president of the ISJ.
