- Abstract
Objective: The utility of the the PREdicting bleeding complications in patients undergoing stent implantation and subs equent dual antiplatelet therapy (PRECISE-DAPT) score has been demonstrated beyond predicting bleeding risk in other clinical areas. Various short and long-term prognostic factors have been reported in patients with acute coronary syndrome. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the impact of the PRECISE-DAPT score on long-term cardiovascular mortality in acute coronary syndrome patients discharged from the hospital. Material and Method: A total of 278 consecutive patients admitted to the cardiology clinic with a diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome and discharged between January 2017 and January 2022 were included in the study. The PRECISE-DAPT score was calculated for each patient. Results: The study included 228 (83.2%) male and 50 (18.2%) female patients. The patients were divided into two groups: those who developed cardiovascular mortality (n=44, 15.8%) and those who did not (n=234, 84.1%). In the group with PRECISE-DAPT score >11.5 showed an increased cardiovascular mortality from the early months onwards (Long Rank, Chi Square=20.1, p<0.001). Conclusion: The PRECISE-DAPT score is an independent predictor of long-term cardiovascular mortality in acute coronary syndrome patients discharged from the hospital.
