The article offers information on several approaches to teaching secularism in religious studies. Topics discussed include information on Good teaching which involves helping students to confront troublesome knowledge; importance of studying secularity due to rising numbers of individuals who do not identify with a religious tradition; and Western secularism as a case study that is examined within the context of the Christian tradition.
