- Abstract
Rumen microorganisms are essential for the digestion of feed in ruminants. The quantity and activity of the enzymes they secrete directly influence the efficiency of nutrient breakdown, utilization, and microbial protein synthesis. Enzyme activity is affected by factors such as animal species, physiological stage, feed composition, and circadian rhythm. Manipulating concentrate to forage ratio, employing various feed additives, and regulating circadian rhythms can effectively modulate enzyme activity and enhance feed efficiency. This article provides a review of the types of endogenous enzymes in rumen microorganisms and their regulation methods. The aim is to provide a reference for the regulation of endogenous enzyme activity in rumen microorganisms
