Hands On New Orleans: Volunteers Brighten Flood-Damaged School Campus.
- Abstract
The article reports on a community service project at the Mary D. Coghill Elementary School in the Orleans Parish of New Orleans, Louisiana on March 9, 2008, in which attendees at "The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) 2008 Annual Meeting" volunteered in beautifying the school. Accordingly, Hurricane Katrina destroyed the permanent building of the school. It says that the project was sponsored by the TMS Foundation.
