- Abstract
The article discusses the laminate veneer systems in dentistry. It mentions that they are recognized as a conventional, conservative techniques for esthetic restoration. Their uses are indicated in situations involving intrinsic staining or enamel dysplasia. They also offer improved esthetics when compared with the use of resin restorative materials, which are applied directly to etched enamel. They comprised two options, the custom veneers fabricated in the laboratory and commercially prefabricated veneers. A time saving technique using a cellophane tape template for trimming the systems is also described.
