The article reports on guideline for design engineers in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) designing compounding pharmacies, areas where pharmacists can produce custom strengths, dosages and forms of medication. The most widely accepted standard for health-care facilities is the Facilities Guidelines Institute standards in the U.S. However, there are no in-depth criteria for compounding pharmacies.
