The article explores the effect of the sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor antagonists on T cell migration in implanted mouse lymph nodes. The effect of agonism on endothelial cells is to close the endothelial gates, prevent lymphocyte egress and mediates immunosuppression. Sphingosine 1-phosphate agonist reduces T lymphocyte migration in the lymph node medulla.
