- Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Pleurotus eryngii stump trimmed wastes (P ESTW) on blood biochemical profile in meat-type geese. A total of 96 hatched white Roman goslings were randomly allotted to 4 treatments. Each treatment had 4 replicates with 3 males and 3 females in each pen. Geese were fed diets supplemented with 0 (control group), 2, 4 or 6% PESTW powder, respectively. The expetimental diets were designed to the same content in crude protein, metabolizable energy, and crude fiber. All birds were fed ad libitum of feed and water. The results showed that only the concentration in triglycetide was higher (P < 0. 0 5) in the 4% P ESTW group than that of control group at 8 weeks of age. This study indicated that driedPESTW powder as a feed additive using 2 to 6% in whole feeding petiod had not negative effect for body weight and blood biochemical profile in meat-type geese.
