Abstract
The article narrates stories of colleagues about embryologist Robert Geoffrey Edwards. Scientists and doctors Huw Pritchard, Ann Silver and John Slee share their experiences with Edwards in the 1950s. In the story "Mouse Prophecy," Pritchard recalls finding Edwards in his laboratory with a live mouse in his hand, where Edwards said the mouse will someday help a woman have a baby. It states that it took 20 years for the mouse prophecy to become a reality.
