- Abstract
Research was carried out to understand the nutritional diagnosis of nine introduced varieties of sugar cane (Saccharum spp.) and two local ones in the Azsuremex Sugar Plant in Tenosique, Tabasco, México. The experimental design consisted of 11 treatments and three repetitions in randomized complete blocks (RCB). The fertilization dose of 100N-80P-60K was applied, and leaf analysis was performed to determine the nutrimental deficiencies and assess the efficiency of the fertilizer in nutrition. The results showed that all the varieties presented average concentrations of nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, iron and manganese. Mean concentrations of calcium and copper were found in the nine varieties introduced, and four varieties presented mean concentrations of zinc. The MEX 69-290 variety showed mean concentrations of phosphorus. However, with the nutritional diagnosis it was observed that sulfur seems to be the most limiting in the gleysol haplic clayey eutric humic soil, although there were no significant differences in the eleven varieties with regard to the leaf concentrations of the nutrients studied, there is the response of the varieties introduced to the production zone.
