Title
Honeybees can sense temperature.
Abstract
The article discusses research being done on the ability of honeybees to discriminate between food at various temperatures. It references a study by James Nieh and colleagues published in the December 1, 2009 issue of the "Journal of Experimental Biology." Researchers found that bees are capable of changing their body temperature in order to reflect food quality. They also found that the capability of differentiating temperature in nectar could play a natural role inside the nest.
